Swensen’s Gastronomic Tour in More Than 80 Days

Starting January 2016, fans of Swensen’s can look forward to savoring an exclusive dish released each month. The dish each month is inspired by one country’s heritage such as Hurry Curry Crayfish Pasta (Singapore), Pineapple Fried Rice Paradise (Thailand) and Essentially Hambagu (Japan).

JANUARY 2016 – Hurry Curry Crayfish Pasta (S$17.90)

It’s inspired by Singapore curry which is popular in Singapore. A comforting dish that can be enjoyed by everyone for any occasion. The dish consists of penne that is cooked al-dente and chunky crayfish, doused in creamy smooth curry. This dish is a fusion dish between Italian and Singapore cuisines, combining the western staple food with the richness of spices from Asia.

FEBRUARY 2016 – Pineapple Fried Rice (S$15.90)

Fried rice with cashew nuts and pineapple bits represents the cuisine of Thailand. It is served with Wahoo fish fillet, coated with Thai sauce and topped with prawn crackers. To make this dish even more Thailand, a zesty salad is added to give this dish the flavour of the Tropics.

MARCH 2016 – Essentially Hambagu (S$15.90) 

Hambagu is a marriage between the east and the west. This dish is basically grounded beef patty served with chunky sauteed shiitake mushrooms, grilled and served with a Japanese barbeque sauce. A generous portion of salad is added as accompaniment.

Swensen’s Around the World in more than 80 Days Menu launches in Swensen’s restaurants islandwide from 1 January 2016 until 31 December 2016.

Besides the exclusive monthly menu, Swensen’s has also launched two new items:

Swensen’s Ciabatta Tea Set ($5), available on weekdays from 2.30pm – 5.00pm

Ciabatta rolls topped with signature baked honey buttercream, served with custom roasted coffee or tea or soft drink. And all are free-flow!

Pineapple Upside Down Sundae ($10.80)


Deconstructed version of a classic Sundae, consists of pineapple rings atop of a scoop of vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce and finished off with biscuit crumbs and whipped cream.
