First making a debut in 2006 with an outlet at Boat Quay, Dallas Restaurant & Bar has come a long way. In conjunction with its 10th Anniversary celebration, the brand introduces its second restaurant located at Suntec City Sky Garden to cater for customers in the CBD area.
With 92 indoor seats and 70 al-fresco seats, guests can enjoy a beautiful 360-degree view of the Suntec City Area. Entering the restaurant, you will be greeted with an island bar in red and black color scheme, equipped with gleaming black marble bar top and leather high-chairs. The restaurant is cosy, fine-dining meets more casual after work sittings.
Some favorite traditional appetizers with a modern twist include:
Snapper Fish Tacos ($22 or $8 for additional piece)
Snapper Fish Tacos consists of three pieces of snapper dipped in batter and then deep fried. I love the crispness of the fish and the tangy but sweet after taste from the pineapple chutney and vinegar spread on the tortilla skins. The Spanish onions and cabbage add extra crunch to the bite and the Chipotle mayonnaise brings all the flavors together.
Crispy Pork Belly Tacos ($14 or $5 for additional piece)
Another sinful bite is Crispy Pork Belly Tacos that comes with crunchy crackling and tender meat. This mini tacos are spread with guacamole before the pork is placed. Spicy lovers will love slices of fresh jalapeno and pickled Spanish onion as the toppings.
Jalapeño Croquettes ($15)
Love these delicious croquettes of mashed spuds mixed with bechamel sauce, shredded cheddar and chopped jalapeno peppers. The crumbs are super crunchy and the filling melts in your mouth. These croquettes are mildly spicy with some extra kick from the peppers. Definitely my favorite!
Grilled Corn ($6)
Although it’s simple, this corn tastes heavenly. Grilled to perfection, the corn is then topped with Chipotle mayonnaise and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. More cheese please!
The highlights of our meal at Dallas were the two NEW anniversary dishes:
Prime Rib Steak ($40)
100-day grain fed Australian beef, lightly seasoned and slow roasted for 15 hours before 250g is sliced and grilled in medium-rare doneness. It is served with French fries, salad or seasoned vegetables. On weekends, you can enjoy FREE-FLOW of this at only $35 per person. It’s so worth your money!
Dallas Meat Platter ($75 for 2 pax or $130 for 4 pax)
Each serving comes with four different meats:
– Grilled Australian lamb cutlets
– Pork ribs with choices of tangy sweet berry glaze or fiery BBQ sauce
– Rotisserie chicken
– Prime rib steak cooked medium-rare (recommended doneness)
Each platter is also accompanied by a mushroom or black pepper sauce and choice of mustards.
Dallas Restaurant will be open throughout Chinese New Year so you can visit this restaurant if you don’t have any plan yet.
