[Sentosa] Hard Rock Cafe Celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is around the corner and Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa is set to kick off the festivities early. For the month of May, Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa will tickle your taste buds with Mexican flavours. The special menu offers savory heat of traditional Mexican flavours such as huajillo, barbaco, and carnitas.

Delightful Starters

Taste of Mexico will serve up three delightful starters such as the refreshing Yucatan Style Shrimp Ceviche ($18.00), crunchy Crispy Shrimp with Aji Amarillo Sauce ($18.00), and an assortment of street style Tacos which includes the South West Pulled Chicken Taco ($17.00), Carnita (Pulled Pork) Taco and Grilled Spicy Shrimp ($18.00).

Crispy Shrimp with Aji Amarillo Sauce is definitely my favorite. The breaded shrimps were juicy and the batter was crunchy. Fresh cheese, pecans, cilantro and green onion added freshness to this dish.

Another favorite was Carnita Taco; street style taco served in flour tortillas accompanied with pulled pork, shredded lettuce, queso fresco, pico de gallo, cotija sauce and sour cream.

Classic Mexican Entrees

Turning things up a notch are a selection of four boldly flavoured entrees; spiced Grilled Shrimp with Mexican Street Corn Inspired Salad ($19.00), Smoky Chicken Tinga Tacos ($18.00), Fiesta Chicken Quesadillas ($22.00).

My favorite was the Fiesta Chicken Quesadillas ($22). Imagine warm melted cheese embedded in soft tortilla accompanied by shredded chipotle chicken. Served with spicy sauce, sour cream, and guacamole.

For vegetarians, there are also meatless options, with Hard Rock’s Vegetarian Tacos ($16.00); chipotle sweet potato, quinoa, pico de gallo and queso fresco. Served with tomatillo salsa, cotija cheese and sour cream.

Or if you fancy for some salad, you can order the shrimp salad.

Salud! Specialty Cocktails

Hard Rock introduces three new cocktails inspired by the Mexican celebration, Cinco de Mayo; the Amigo ($15.00), a concoction of Luxardo Liqeur, fresh blueberry, orgeat and lime juice, the Diablo ($15.00), an intoxicating creation with Mezcal, cucumber, agave, mango puree and lime juice, as well as the Trouble Maker ($15.00), a Cointreau-based cocktail with dress lime juice, chipotle pineapple and Jalapeño rings.

So, party away this May and savor the Taste of Mexico!
