Homegrown F&B establishment, Bakerzin Holdings Pte Ltd, unveils their new second-line dining concept, Nom La La by Bakerzin. Occupying a floorspace of approximately 200 square metres, the 92-seater café is located at the new waterfront SAFRA Punggol and will be open to the public on 28 April 2016. Focusing on simplicity, the new lifestyle-oriented concept features self-service counters offering a wide array of pocket-friendly quality food & beverage selections.
Nested in the first eco-friendly SAFRA club, home to the first-of-its-kind water playground in Singapore, Nom La La caters to families especially those living in the North-Eastern part of Singapore. “In view of the major residential development plans in Punggol, Nom La La will provide the growing segment of young families with a new hangout spot that offers quality food at affordable prices”, said Ms Sharon Tay, Chief Operating Officer of Bakerzin Holdings. “Through Nom La La’slifestyle concept and 360 degree offerings of cuisines from around the world, we hope diners would enjoy simple pleasures in a comfortable and fun setting environment as they bond with their loved ones.”
The Inspiration Behind its Name
Inspired by dining expressions, Nom La La is a portmanteau of an onomatopoeia, Nom Nom Nom– an expression for eating heartily – and a French exclamation, Ohh La La – an expression of exuberance and delightful surprise. The menu offers a wide dining selection that will bring great satisfaction and pleasure.
Warm Chic Ambience
The café design is eclectic and serves to create a “chill out” environment for diners. Lit with warm incandescent lights, the café is furnished with a vibrant mix of designs, from pristine wood panel walls to an edgy raw brick feature wall with a graffiti print of the brand. Adorning the room are a cornucopia of collectible Knick-knacks from around the world. The combination of industrial- inspired metal-legged chairs, wooden finishing on its furniture and the framed-decorations makes the café a casual inviting space to revel in the simple joys of dining.
Nom La La offers a fuss-free grab-and-go self-service and a la-carte concept for diners to select their favourite dishes at the counters, collect them immediately and then proceed to the designated cashier to make payment. For customers who are on-the-go, Nom La La offers takeaway options as well.
